Widely recognised as an industry leader and innovator within the steel construction field, Braddan Structures construction work ranges from complicated glazing roof supports to column and beam office developments, portal frames, pre-cast concrete installations for grain stores, retaining walls, stairs and hollow core flooring.

Current clients include Billington Structures Limited, Finley Structures Limited, Hares of Snape Limited, S&A Fabrications Limited, Raisco Limited, DAM Structures Limited and The Rossendale Group, to name a select few.

The company has recently completed some high-profile projects within the region including the new Eldon Square extension (4000 tonnes), Newcastle City Library (1000 tonnes) and the extension of the SITA renewable energy incinerator (300 tonnes).

Always planning for the future, the business has a policy of continually investigating and researching new opportunities and projects and forward plans workflow through intensive tender applications. As such, Braddan Structures is currently tendering for projects in sectors as diverse as agricultural projects; SLAM (single living accommodation modernisation) developments for the Ministry of Defence locations such as Catterick and Lossimouth; and a bio diesel related opportunity.

Due to the nature of the type of work undertaken, great emphasis is placed on the quality of people employed, their training and the provision of modern equipment for the tasks undertaken. Managing Director, Carl Caddick, has invested heavily in both the personnel he employs and the equipment that they use. The company is also keen to actively promote the quality of its work, staff and location and as such is one of the only steel erection firms to be a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen; has consistently achieved a 100% pass rate within the Committed to CSCS Programme; is a member of the Engineering Construction Industry Association (ECIA), enabling employees to work in some of the most dangerous environments such as power stations, petrochemical and nuclear sites etc.; has signed up to the region’s ‘Passionate About’ campaign to show the company’s commitment to the region and to the ethos that is at the heart of the business and which has made the company the thriving business it is today.
